Abstract :
The aim of research is to analyze reading difficulties among students at SDN 07 Duhiadaa, Duhiadaa District, Pohuwato Regency. The focus of the problem is the analysis of factors that cause reading difficulties among students at SDN 07 Duhiadaa. The method used qualitative research method with a case study approach. The research procedure is through observation, interviews and documentation. The results are among the four factors which is influence students' reading difficulties, such as the lack of facilities to support reading activities, special reading guidance factors, social factors and academic factors, the most dominant among students is the lack of reading support facilities at school. This is caused by inadequate facilities such as books to support reading activities in the library which do not attract students' attention or supporting book facilities in the classroom which are very minimal. Other supporting facilities such as classroom reading corners have not been created according to students' needs, this causes students' low motivation to carry out reading activities. Therefore, it is necessary to provide supporting books for reading activities through the cooperation of students' parents to overcome students' reading difficulties.
