Abstract :
Hypertension is one of the causes of high maternal and fetal mortality rates. One of the risk factors for hypertension is lifestyle habits, namely physical activity, diet, rest habits and smoking history. This research aims to determine the relationship between lifestyle and the incidence of hypertension in pregnant women. Data was collected by distributing questionnaires to respondents, then the data was processed through statistical tests. Based on a cross-test between lifestyle and the incidence of hypertension, the results showed that there were 20 people who had good lifestyles and 21 other people who had bad lifestyles. Apart from that, there were 12 pregnant women who had good lifestyles but experienced hypertension and 3 pregnant women who had bad lifestyles but did not experience hypertension. Based on chi square analysis, the p value = 0.063. Based on this, it can be concluded that there is no relationship between lifestyle and the incidence of hypertension in pregnant women at the Monano Community Health Center UPTD.
