Abstract :
A well-executed handover can provide health services for patients, therefore nurses need to carry out SBAR communication because the communication is carried out in a structured manner in conveying the patient's condition. The purpose of this study is to describe the effectiveness of SBAR communication in the Implementation of Handover at Dr.M.M Dunda Limboto Hospital. Quantitative research design with descriptive analysis method, the research subjects used were 41 nurses at Dr. M.M. Dunda Limboto Hospital and used descriptive statistical tests. The results of the study obtained SBAR communication during handover in the aspect of the situation of the effective majority of 38 respondents (93%), the majority background aspect was less effective as many as 38 respondents (93%), the assessment aspect of the effective majority of 27 respondents (66%) and the recommendation aspect of the majority was effective as many as 35 respondents (85%). The conclusion of SBAR communication in the aspects of situastion, assessment and recommendation has been effectively carried out by nurses, while the bacground aspect is less effective for nurses.
