Abstract :
Teenage pregnancy is a pregnancy that occurs in relatively young women who have menstruated, aged 12-20 years. The impact that can occur as a result of underage pregnancy is that the pregnant mother is less able to accept the fetus well, which causes the pregnant mother to be easily stressed. Stress can be managed with spiritual intelligence, emotional intelligence, and coping mechanisms. The purpose of the study was to analyse the relationship between emotional intelligence and spiritual intelligence in the coping mechanisms of teenage pregnant women. The method used was a cross-sectional study approach and consecutive sampling where there were 40 pregnant teenage women. The results showed that the emotional intelligence category was less than 27 (67.5%), good 13 (32.5%), the spiritual intelligence category was less than 5 (12.5%), good category 35 (87.5%), coping mechanism category was adaptive 22 teenage pregnant women, not adaptive 18 (45%). The chi-square test shows a relationship between emotional intelligence and coping mechanisms of pregnant teenage women (p = 0.001). However, the Fisher test shows no relationship between spiritual intelligence and coping mechanisms of pregnant teenage women (p = 0.155).
