Abstract :
Chronic Energy Deficiency (CED) refers to an imbalance in the intake of energy and protein required by pregnant women. This condition poses an indirect risk of mortality during pregnancy. To address CED among pregnant women, a Supplemental Feeding Program (PMT) was initiated. In 2022, the Gorontalo District Health Service implemented PMT, noting that the Batudaa Community Health Center was actively involved in reducing CED through this program. This study aimed to assess the impact of PMT on pregnant women with CED at the Batudaa Community Health Center. The sample comprised 15 respondents. Data collection involved using the LILA tape to measure the upper arm circumference (LILA) of pregnant women and observation sheets for PMT. This research employed a non-equivalent quasi-experimental design with a quantitative approach, specifically a one-group pretest-posttest design. Data analysis was conducted using the Wilcoxon statistical test. The findings revealed changes in the Upper Arm Circumference (LILA) of respondents before and after the intervention. Prior to the intervention, 100% of respondents had LILA ?23.5. Following the intervention, the percentage of respondents with LILA ?23.5 decreased to 40%, with 60% of respondents having LILA >23.5. There was a significant difference in LILA size before and after the intervention, with a p-value of 0.000. Thus, it can be concluded that providing PMT to pregnant women with CED has a positive effect
