Abstract :
The researcher's objective was to determine the role of homeroom teachers in fostering students' manners at SDN 14 Tolangohula, Gorontalo Regency. The research method used was descriptive qualitative with the subjects being the principal, homeroom teachers of grades 2,3,4,5 and 6. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the observation showed that homeroom teachers have an important role in fostering students' manners. The homeroom teacher in carrying out politeness coaching for students uses 3 methods, those are 1) the exemplary method, (2) the advice method, (3) the punishment method. The results of the study showed that not all students experienced behavioral changes even though the homeroom teacher had applied these methods. Keywords: Role of the Homeroom
