Abstract :
Eye fatigue occurs due to the use of the eyes of kerawang craftsmen which are often used intensively and for a long time. Yoga Eye Exercise is a non-pharmacological method that is believed to help reduce eye fatigue. This study aims to determine whether there is an effect of giving yoga eye exercise on kerawang craftsmen. This research method uses a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental research type with one group pre-test - post-test design. The sample was selected through the total sampling method. The number of samples was 16 respondents who were kerawang craftsmen in Mongolato Village. Mongolato Village is known as a central village producing kerawang in Gorontalo Province. Data collection in this study used a questionnaire sheet and data analysis used the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test with significance (Asymp.Sig (2-tailed) <0.05). The results of the study showed that the average value of eye fatigue before being given yoga eye exercise was 1.19 and eye fatigue after being given yoga eye exercise was 1.75, there was an increase of 0.56 in the value of eye fatigue after being given treatment. Then the statistical value obtained Asymp.sig (2-Tailed) was 0.003, which was smaller than 0.05. In conclusion, there is an effect of giving yoga eye exercise on eye fatigue in filigree craftsmen.
