Abstract :
Background: labor pain occurs during the first latent phase, namely the processof cervical dilation up to 3 cm, while in the active phase, namely the process ofcervical dilation from 4-10 cm. Often this pain is perceived as the most severepain experience and can interfere with the mother's concentration. One of thelabor pain management is the rebozo technique. Objective: to determine theeffectiveness of the rebozo technique given by health workers and families onlabor pain in mothers in the first active phase of labor. Method: quasi?experimental research design with a post-test only with control group approach,a population of 48 people with a sample of 20 people or total sampling. Results:The results of the study showed that the level of pain before being given therebozo technique by health workers was severe pain as many as 6 people andafter being given moderate pain as many as 7 people, before being given bysevere pain 7 people and after being given moderate pain 6 people with aVpalue value = 0.000 <0.05. Conclusion: The rebozo technique given by healthworkers and families is effective for labor pain in mothers in the first stage ofactive phase in RSIA Siti Khadijah, Gorontalo City. Suggestion: health workersshould provide the rebozo technique to mothers in labor to help reduce pain andprovide information to families so that families can carry out the rebozotechnique on mothers in labor independently.
