Abstract :
The problems of this research are (1) There is dissatisfaction of female students in the form of their physical appearance. (2) There is a problem of lack of self-confidence in female students such as feeling that they have many shortcomings in their body image. (3) The relationship between body image and self-confidence makes these female students pay attention to their appearance and body shape to look attractive. The objectives of this study are (1) To determine the body image of female students at SMA Negeri 2 Limboto. (2) To determine the self-confidence of female students at SMA Negeri 2 Limboto. (3) To determine the relationship between body image and self-confidence of students at SMA Negeri 2 Limboto. This uses a quantitative method and correlational statistics. Based on the results of data analysis and discussion, it can be concluded that the relationship between body image and self-confidence of students at SMA Negeri 2 Limboto from the results of the body image analysis of 85 students, 47 students with a percentage of 55.3% are in the good category The level of self-confidence possessed by students at SMA Negeri 2 Limboto, seen from the results of the self-confidence analysis of 85 students, 41 students with a percentage of 48.2% are in the fairly good category. There is a significant relationship between body image and self-confidence of students at SMA Negeri 2 Limboto because the Pearson correlation value of body image and self-confidence has a strong close relationship, namely 0.696.
