Abstract :
This research aims to dissect the comunities? participation of Bilungala Village, Bonepantai District in the General Election for the 2019 - 2024 period. This research method uses a descriptive qualitative method by collecting data through interviews, documentation and retrospectives. This research produced several findings from 3 (three) identified problems that have been dissected with Community Participation Theory using analysis of 3 (three) indicators, namely; a. Engagement Rate; The public routinely does not participate enough in elections, in this case the public has not demonstrated high political awareness and long-term commitment to the political process. Voting consistency is not yet an accurate representation of the diversity of people's votes in each election. b.; Influence on decisions, Political Infrastructure Support: Support from political institutions and infrastructure, including easy access to polling stations and transparent electoral institutions, has not helped towards public participation. This has the effect of making individuals in the community feel that their participation is less appreciated and less important. c. Sustainability of Participation, especially in sustainable political education, really helps increase people's understanding of importance of participation in democracy and how the political process works. This strengthens people's political awareness and belief in the positive impact of their vote. However, in reality the level of public understanding of politics is still low.
