Abstract :
Couples who marry early have difficulty adjusting to their marriage because emotions peak at this age. The risk if the couple cannot adjust the marriage is that there will be arguments and even divorce. This study aimed to determine the relationship between emotional intelligence and early marriage adjustment. The research design used a quantitative approach with a correlational research design. The population was 38 couples or 76 people with sampling, so all populations were sampled. The results of the spearman rank analysis showed a pValue = 0.003 <0.05, or there was a relationship between emotional intelligence and early marriage adjustment in Buntulia Utara Village with a correlation coefficient of 0.340, meaning a high relationship between emotional intelligence and early marriage adjustment.
