Abstract :
Nurses performance in patient safety efforts is closely related to the prevention of adverse events. Medication errors are a major error and often go unreported. The impact of a mistake can be minor injury, serious even death. Several factors related to nurse adherence in applying the six right principles of drug administration in the interna and surgical rooms of the Dr. M.M Dunda Limboto Hospital such as knowledge, length of work, workload and SPO availability. The purpose of research was to determine the relationship between knowledge, length of work, workload and availability of SOPs on nurse compliance in applying the six right principles of drug administration. The research design uses a quantitative method with a cross sectional approach. Data analysis used the chi-square test. The results found based on factors, it showed the majority of respondents were in the obedient category. The conclusion is to get the value of each relationship, namely the relationship between the knowledge factor on nurse compliance, p = 0.044 with ? <0.005, the relationship between length of work factor and nurse compliance, p = 0.018 with ? <0.005, the relationship between burden factors work on nurse compliance p = 0.013 with ? <0.005, the relationship between SPO availability factors on nurse compliance p = 0.025 with ? <0.005, it can be concluded there is a significant relationship between knowledge, length of work, workload and availability of SPO nurses on nurse compliance.
