Abstract :
The low level of exclusive breastfeeding is one of the tringgers for stunting in children under five and past events and will have an ompact on the child?s future. The research design was correlation analytic with a cross-sectional approach, the total population of mothers with children under five aged 7-24 months, was 1,259 respondents. A simple oh 93 respoindents used a purposive sampling technique. Used the chi-square stastistical test. Tehe results obtained warw 33 toddlers who ware given exclusive breastfeeding were not stunted and 24 toddlers who ware not given exclusive breastfeeding were stunted, so the is a relationship between exsclusive breastfeeding and the incidence of stunting in toddlers, in the Work Area of the Limboto Health Center, Gorontalo Regency, Gorontalo Regency with a p-value of 0,001. Therefore, it is expected that mothers fulfill nutrition during pregenancy and also comply with and carry out the first 1000 days of life program byroutinely visting the Puskesmas and Posyandu to get early detection of health and nutrition counseling for their children.
