Abstract :
Stunting can be caused by a lack of exclusive breastfeeding, short birth length and low birth weight, stunting has an impact on inhibiting physical growth, mental development and children's health status. The purpose of research was to determine the risk factors for stunting in toddlers in the Limboto Health Center Work Area. Case control research design with a retrospective approach. The stunted toddler population is 114 people. The sample is 53 people with purposive sampling technique. The instruments used were questionnaires and observation sheets. Statistical test using chi-square test. The results obtained were that there was a relationship between the risk factors for birth length (p-value 0.000, OR= 17,714) and exclusive breastfeeding (p-value 0.029, OR= 0.221) with the incidence of stunting in the Limboto Health Center Work Area, and the risk factors for birth weight were not related to the incidence of stunting in the Work Area of the Limboto Health Center with a p-value of 0.938 (OR= 0.780). It was concluded birth length and exclusive breastfeeding are at risk of causing stunting in toddlers in the Limboto Health Center Work Area. Thus, the Limboto Barat Health Center provides early preventive measures against these factors.
