Abstract :
This study aims to: find out whether free electricity assistance is beneficial for low-income people in Bone Bolango County. The research method uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive type of research. The results of the study found that free electricity assistance for low-income people is a program carried out by the Bone Bolango government based on the decree of the Regent Number 238a of 2018 which has been running for 3 (three) years with the achievement of 1,330 connection units. The results of the research obtained through interviews that this electricity assistance program is very useful and helps the community, especially people living in inland areas or in villages that are difficult to reach by electricity. In addition, another benefit obtained is that the community can already do activities at night, both family activities such as children can learn comfortably and other business activities and the community can access and follow the development of various information in all aspects of life.
