Abstract :
ANISA RADJAB. Analysis of the Problem of Mother's Unsuccess in Providing Exclusive Breastfeeding in the Working Area of the Sipatana Health Center. Supervised by HARISMAYANTI as chairman and ANI RETNI as member. Exclusive breastfeeding plays a very important role in reducing child morbidity and mortality, and also beneficial for the mother's health. However, the coverage of exclusive breastfeeding is not evenly distributed throughout Indonesia, there are still provinces that have not reached the target of 40%, this condition can be caused, for example, by the mother's job, lack of support, especially the husband thus the mother is unable to provide exclusive breastfeeding. The purpose of research was to find out the analysis of the problem of the failure of mothers to provide exclusive breastfeeding in the Working Area of the Sipatana Health Center. The design used qualitative with a phenomenological study approach, research participants were the number of mothers who did not give exclusive breastfeeding with a total of 8 people who met the sample criteria. The findings showed there were three findings that led to the failure of mothers to provide exclusive breastfeeding, namely barriers to breastfeeding production including small amount of milk coming out, swollen breasts and sore nipples, lack of family support in motivating mothers to provide exclusive breastfeeding and lack of knowledge of mothers with poor understanding of mothers. lack of information on exclusive breastfeeding, exclusive breastfeeding is only for child growth and development and boosting immunity, and exclusive breastfeeding is only beneficial for children, they have been exposed to information, but have forgotten and do not understand exclusive breastfeeding information. It can be concluded there are barriers to breastfeeding production, lack of family support and lack of knowledge of mothers about exclusive breastfeeding to provide exclusive breastfeeding. Therefore, it is hoped mothers can be assisted and encourage those closest to them to increase exclusive breastfeeding. Keywords: Exclusive Breastfeeding, Mother's Unsuccess
