Abstract :
The risk of suicide is a deliberate act by someone to end their life. Prevention must be done to reduce the risk of someone committing this act. This research aims to find out how cognitive behavior therapy prevents suicide risk in Gorontalo and Bone Bolango districts. The research design uses qualitative methods with a case study approach. The sampling technique used snowball sampling, and the number of participants was five people. The research results found that the factors causing the risk of suicide varied from unharmonious family relationships, environment, economy, and heartbreak problems. There was a change in the participant's way of thinking from negative to more positive, so it affected their behavior in overcoming their problems. This study concludes that there are differences in the condition of participants before and after giving cognitive behavior therapy.
