Abstract :
Disaster is an event that threatens people's lives caused by natural or non-natural factors. Mitigation efforts can be carried out in the form of structural mitigation by strengthening buildings and infrastructure that have the potential to be affected by a disaster. The aim of research was to determine the level of public knowledge regarding flood disaster mitigation in Kayubulan Village, Limboto District. The research uses a descriptive research design. Samples were taken by accidental sampling technique. Sampling was determined at the time the research took place. Collecting data using a questionnaire sheet. The results has been done show that the frequency distribution of knowledge based on age is the highest at the age of 26-35 years with good knowledge of 34 respondents. Based on education in this study, the highest number of respondents were elementary school students with good knowledge. Meanwhile, based on the work in this study, the highest number of traders with good knowledge was 35 respondents. In conclusion, the level of public knowledge in flood disaster mitigation efforts in Kayubulan Village, Limboto District is mostly with good knowledge.
