Abstract :
Perineal rupture is one of the traumas that women often suffer during childbirth. Birth weight affects perinuem rupture. The greater the weight of the baby born, the more it increases the risk of perineal rupture. Mothers are said to be at high risk if pregnant women are under 20 years old and over 35 years old. This study aims to analyze the risk factors for perineal rupture in women giving birth. This research is a type of quantitative research with a cross sectional approach. The sampling technique used purposive sampling technique. the results of the statistical test were obtained at parity Fisher's Exact Test p = 0.020 with ? ? 0.05, the results of the statistical test were obtained at birth weight Pearson Chi-Square p = 0.036 with ? ? 0.05, the results of the statistical test were obtained value at Maternal Age Continuity Correction Test p = 0.025 with ? ? 0.05. So it can be concluded that the risk factors for perineal rupture include parity, birth weight and mother's age. It is hoped that the results of this research can be used as information material to help policy makers and decision-makers in the context of the development and knowledge of health sciences and knowledge.
