Abstract :
Pain in labor can cause increased levels of catecholamine or stress hormones. Increased levels of catecholamines or stress hormones can reduce the body's ability to withstand pain. The aim of research was to determine the effect of massage effluerage therapy on calf pain in in-partu mothers. Pre-experimental research design with one-group pre-post test research. The population were 56 mothers who gave birth normally in the ponek room in August-October. The sample is 36 mothers using the slovin formula. The instrument used was an observation sheet and a statistical sample paired T-test. The results obtained were 23 respondents felt moderate pain before treatment and 13 respondents felt severe pain after treatment, 19 respondents felt mild pain after treatment, 15 respondents felt moderate pain and 2 respondents felt severe pain. The conclusion, there is an effect of p = 0.000 (<0.05) massage effleurage therapy stage I pan in Inpartu mother in the ponek room.
