Abstract :
This research aims to analyze the SAS method in the beginning reading ability of students. The research uses qualitative research methods with data collection techniques through observation, documentation, and interviews derived from primary data and secondary data. The research used data analysis techniques through data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results indicated the analysis of the SAS method in the beginning reading ability of students is introducing pictures and texts, explaining pictures, categorizing words, describing each word into syllables, and understanding categories.
