Abstract :
Stress is the most common mental health problem faced by the elderly. Therefore, the stressful condition of the elderly must be improved by providing non-pharmacological actions in the form of relaxation through meditation. Because meditation is a way to deal with mental disorders such as stress and is very effective in helping to improve one's cognitive and emotional performance and behavior in dealing with stressful situations. The purpose of research was to determine whether there is an effect of meditation on reducing stress levels in the elderly at LKS.LU Beringin Hutuo Limboto. This research is quantitative with a research design using the pre-experimental research method, namely the design one group pretest-posttest approach. Samples were taken by purposive sampling technique with a total sample of 14 people. The data analysis test used is the Paired Sample T Test.
