Abstract :
This research was conducted at Program, Department of Agricultural Sciences, Muhammadiyah University of Gorontalo from July to August of 2022. The purpose was to determine the effect of natural feeding of rice snails (Pila ampullacea) and a the growth and survival of catfish Dumbo. A total of 60 African catfish seeds 4 6 cm long were placed in 20 experimental boxes to see the effect of adding natural rice field snails and artificial feed on the growth and survival of African catfish placed in 20 experimental plots for 1 month to 14 weeks old. The design used was Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 5 repetitions. The treatments tested were T1= (without natural feed), T2= (2.5% addition of natural feed), T3 of natural feed), each with 5 replications . The results showed that the addition of natural food for the rice snail (Pila ampullacea) had a very significant effect (P<0.01) on the growth and survival of Keywords: Natural food, Paddy snail, Growth, African catfish.
