Abstract :
This study aims to find out how the students? motivation in playing football for students who participated in extracurricular activities at SMK Negeri 9 Luwu. This research is a descriptive research using survey method. instruments used in data retrieval are questionnaires. The population in this study was all students who participated in football extracurricular activities at SMK Negeri 9 Luwu as many as 25 male students consisting of grades X and XI. The sample in this study was the entire population of 25 male students, The technique used in taking sampling is purposive sampling, which is a sampling technique with the consideration of researchers themselves so that it can represent the population. The results of the motivational research of students in participating in football extracurricular activities at SMK Negeri 9 Luwu are mostly in the medium category of 60%.
