Abstract :
This study aims to determine an increase in student learning outcomes, the problem in this study is the low student learning outcomes in the long jump material. The formulation of the problem being studied is whether the application of the cardboard jump modification can improve the basic technique of squat-style long jump in students of SMP Negeri 3 Palopo. The purpose of this study was to determine whether the application of cardboard jump modification can improve the basic technique of squat-style long jump in students of SMP Negeri 3 Palopo. The approach taken in this research is a qualitative approach with the type of classroom action research (PTK). The focus of this research is to improve the basic technique skills of the long jump squat style of the students. The research subjects were teachers and students of class VIII B SMP Negeri 3 Palopo, totaling 10 people. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, documentation and tests. The data analysis technique used is qualitative data analysis. The results of the research in cycle I indicate that the success indicator has not been achieved with a success percentage of 60%. In the second cycle the results of the study have reached the success indicator with a percentage of 90%. The conclusion of this study is an increase in students in physical education subjects through the application of the cardboard jump modification method.
