Abstract :
This study aims to determine whether the application increases the ability to improve learning outcomes of discus throwing using a modified plastic plate as a medium for class VIII 5 Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri Luwu. This research includes classroom action research. Class VIII 5 Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri Luwu with a total sample of 36 students. The meeting in this study was designed in two cycles, namely cycle I and cycle II. The data of this study are the results of learning to pass under mini volleyball. The data sources of this research were fifth grade students of SD Negeri 15 Botta, Suli District, Luwu Regency. Based on the research that has been done, it can be concluded that the data analysis of the learning outcomes of sideways style discus throwing shows that the number of students who completed the first cycle was 24 students with a percentage of 67% and the number of students who completed the second cycle was 34 students with a percentage of 94%. The results of the qualitative analysis showed that there was a significant increase in learning outcomes of sideways style discus throwing. The results of the study can be concluded that learning Physical Education, Sports and Health with plastic balls can improve learning outcomes of sideways style discus throwing with plastic plate media in class VIII 5 Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri Luwu.
