Abstract :
ABSTRACT The aimed of this research was to improve children's ability to recognize hijaiyah letters through the multimedia PowerPoint application for group B children at Inayah Sahra Kindergarten, Lawewe Village, North Luwu. This research method applied classroom action research (CAR). The research subjects were 12 children from group B at the Inayah Sahra Kindergarten in Lawewe Village, North Luwu. The data collection techniques were observation and documentation techniques. At the beginning conditions showed that children's ability to recognize hijaiyah letters was very low. This can be seen in the pre-cycle results of the child's ability to recognize hijiyah letters, namely 58% not yet developed category and 42% starting to develop Category. In cycle I, Not Yet Developing Category 16.7%, Starting to Develop Category 42%, Developing According to Expectations Category 33.2% and Developing Very Well Category 8.3%. In cycle II, there were 2 or 16.7% of children in the Developing According to Expectations Category and 83.3% of children were in the Developing Very Well Category with an overall average percentage score of 93.7%. Based on these data, it shows that the use of the interactive multimedia PowerPoint application was declared successful in cycle II stage.
