Abstract :
The aims of this research was to determine the effect of stink bean extract (Parkia speciosa Hassk.) seeds on the blood urea nitrogen (BUN) and creatinine levels in rat (Rattus norvegicus). This research used stink bean extract and divided to four treatments. The first treatment (C) was only giving CMC Na 1 %. The second treatment (T1) was stink bean extract with doses 400 mg/kgBW. The second treatment (T2) was stink bean extract with doses 600 mg/kgBW. The third treatment (T3) was stink bean extract with doses 900 mg/kgBW. Experiment design used was Completely Randomized Design. The result was analysed used ANOVA with post hoc test Duncan. The BUN levels was (C) 22.2 ± 5.541 µ/L, (T1) 24.4 ± 6.887 µ/L, (T2) 34.0 ± 4.183 µ/L and (T3) 36.4 b ± 3.362 µ/L. The creatinine levels result was (C) 0.462 ± 0.197 µ/L, (T1) 0.572 ± 0.189 µ/L, (T2) 1.184 ± 0.542 µ/L and (T3) 1.570 ± 0.467 µ/L. The result was showed that at doses 600 mg/kgBW already cause an increase in BUN levels and creatinine levels and might lead to mild nephrotoxic
