Abstract :
E-journals are an important source of information to support the needs of the academic community, especially as a reference material for a study. To obtain quality reference materials, information sources must meet the criteria for quality information. This study discusses the description of the quality of information articles in the Emerald e-journal as a source of student information based on the information quality theory of Wang and Strong (1996). Wang and Strong's theory (1996) measure the quality of information based on 4 categories: intrinsical quality, contextual quality, representational quality, accessibility quality. The research method used is descriptive quantitative method. This research was conducted at the Library of the University of Surabaya with a total of 100 respondents using purposive sampling method. The result of the study is that the highest average value is in the intrinsically quality category in the believable dimension with a value of 3.73 include in high category. Meanwhile, the lowest average value is in the representational quality category in the interpretability dimension with a value of 3.43 include in high category.
