Abstract :
The purpose of this research is to examine more about the local religion of Kaharingan which is one of the local religions in Kalimantan. As is known the policies made by the state related to local religions have made the existence of local religions excluded. This research was conducted to understand the social reality of society related to belief in Kaharingan value. studying the phenomenon of kaharingan local religion in Labuhan Village (1) describes the process of Labuhan residents who are unable to maintain kaharingan local religion because of state regulation (2) Kaharingan cultural artkulsi with Hindu Dharma (3) the process of maintaining the existence of Kaharaingan religious values. This investigation raised three main issues, namely, (1) the form of resistance of kaharingan local religious leaders to the power of the state (2) the process of integration of kaharingan local religion with Hindu Dharma (3) the way the community and traditional stakeholders maintain the values of Kaharingan belief. This research was carried out using a cauldron method with ethnographic approach, by taking the research location in Labuhan Village, Batang Alai Selatan Censure, Hulu Sungai Tengah Regency, South Kalimantan, which will later be described in depth the local religious problems of Kaharingan. With a data collection model through observation, the interview is in-depth. For data sources there are two primary data that are directly obtained from the research location, and secondary data from written records, books. Once the data is collected it will then be analyzed using hegemony theory. The results obtained from the study are as follows. The struggle of the figures carried out did not produce the expected results. Converting to Hinduism is carried out by people in Labuhan village as a solution to avoid discrimination and get recognition of rights from the state. The values of belief that are still preserved are manifested in the traditional Aruh Ritual Ceremony which is one of the media carried out by customary stakeholders and the community in Labuhan Village for still maintain and preserve Kaharingan as a heritage of ancestral beliefs.
