Abstract :
Background: Adhesive bridge restoration is one of the restoration options to replace missing teeth. The adhesive bridge design generally has two wings that function as retainers. In 1980, an adhesive bridge design with one retainer was introduced or better known as a cantilever resin-bonded bridge. However, cantilever resin-bonded bridge restorations are still less attractive as a restoration option because of doubts about their effectiveness. Objective: To determine the effectiveness of all ceramic cantilever resin bonded bridge restorations as a restoration option to replace missing anterior teeth. Literature Reviews: An adhesive bridge or resin-bonded bridge is a non-invasive restoration that is attached to the lingual part of the abutment teeth. There are 2 (two) options for the resin-bonded bridge design, including single retainer and double retainer. The advantages of the single retainer design include minimal preparation, cheaper and shorter making time. Conclusion: All ceramic cantilever resin bonded bridge restorations are effective in replacing one missing anterior tooth.
