Abstract :
This research aims to describe and analyze: (1) to analyze the values contained in the book Ta'lim al-Muta'allim (2) to analyze the process/method of implementing the values contained in the book Ta'lim al-Muta'allim to students in the Bani Umar dormitory (3) to analyze the improvement of character education contained in the book Ta'lim al-Muta'allim to students in the Bani Umar dormitory (4) to analyze supporting factors and obstacles in the formation or improvement character education for students at the Bani Umar dormitory. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive research type. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. Data was analyzed through data collection, data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. Checking the validity of the data includes participation extension techniques, source triangulation and technical triangulation.
The results of the study indicate that: (1) the values contained in the Ta'lim al-Muta'allim book are intention in learning; tawakkal; and choosing a ustadz/teacher (2) the process/method of implementing the values contained in the Ta'lim al-Muta'allim book on students in the Bani Umar dormitory is by implementing the bandongan method (3) improving character education contained in the Ta'lim al-Muta'allim book on students in the Bani Umar dormitory in the form of tawaddhu' attitudes, building interactions and relationships (4) supporting and inhibiting factors in the formation or improvement of character education on students in the Bani Umar dormitory consist of family factors and environmental factors.
