Abstract :
Ika Kristie Febri Amalia. 212354201013. Factors Affecting the Welfare Level of Tobacco Farmers in Lengkong District, Nganjuk Regency. Lengkong District in Nganjuk Regency, particularly in Ketandan, Ngringin, and Jati villages, is a prominent tobacco-producing region due to its high crop yields. While tobacco farmers in this area have achieved significant success, their welfare remains suboptimal. Factors like inefficient processing and marketing contribute to this disparity. This study investigated the impact of income, education, and land area on the welfare of tobacco farmers in these villages. Random sampling was employed to survey 50 respondents, who completed questionnaires via Google Forms. SPSS 26.0 was used to analyze the data. The findings revealed that the t-value for the income variable was 2.429, with a significance level of 0.022, indicating that income exerts a partial influence on the welfare of tobacco farmers. Additionally, the t-value for the education variable was 1.702, and for the land area variable, it was 0.503, with both values being significant at levels above 0.05. This indicates that education and land area have a limited effect on the welfare of tobacco farmers, since their t-values fall below the t-table values. Furthermore, the F-test produced a calculated value of 11.070, which surpassed the F?table value, suggesting that income, education, and land area together affect the welfare of tobacco farmers. Among the three variables, income exhibited the highest Standardized Coefficients beta value, indicating that it is the most dominant factor affecting the welfare of tobacco farmers.
