This study describes a series of developments that occur in Iran's
nuclear program that can cause conflict and displeasure in western countries
related to the program. This study takes two main problems, namely the history of
the emergence of Iran's nuclear program and how the diplomacy is carried out by
the Iranian state to maintain its nuclear program with the pressure of the
international stage. The results of the research that the author got were the
history of the emergence of Iran's nuclear program in 1957 AD for the
cooperation between Mohammad Shah Reza Pahlavi and the United States of
America, namely president Dwight D. Eisenhower. Then the policies that Iran's
leaders took after Mohammad Shah Pahlavi. then the diplomatic path taken by the
Iranian state to strengthen that the nuclear development program is only for
peace. As well as establishing bilateral and multilateral cooperation carried out
by the Iranian state to strengthen voices and opinions from international pressure.
Furthermore, Iran's nuclear program has an impact that can affect the high
tension in Iran's relations with superpowers such as the United States and Britain.
In addition, Iran must accept a greater risk of being sanctioned by the UN
Security Council resolution which makes it difficult for Iran to export oil and gas
owned by Iran.
