Abstract :
Utilization of a buck converter for photovoltaic power control using the Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) control mechanism. First, the photovoltaic module was analyzed using SIMULINK software. For the main purpose of this project, a buck converter will be used in conjunction with the Maximum Power Point Tracking control mechanism. The MPPT is responsible for extracting the maximum power from the photovoltaic and feeding it to the load via a step-down converter to the required magnitude. Its main purpose is to track the maximum power point of the photovoltaic module so that the maximum power that can be drawn from the photovoltaic. The algorithm used for MPPT is a general algorithm and is easy to model or use as code. The algorithm is written in m PSIM files and used in the simulation. Both the buck converter and the solar cell are modeled using the Sim Power System block
