Abstract :
This study aims to determine the relationship between Social Support Caregivers with Self-confidence in Adolescents at the Jombang Orphanage. The population of this study was the youth of the Jombang Orphanage. The sample in this study were teenagers aged 12-18 years as many as 50 teenagers consisting of 17 teenagers from the Al-Hasan Orphanage and 33 teenagers from the Ad-Durunnafis Orphanage using a simple purposive sampling technique. The hypothesis proposed in this study is that there is a positive relationship between social support from caregivers and self- confidence in adolescents at the Jombang orphanage. The independent variable is the caregiver's social support, the dependent variable is self-confidence. Based on the results of hypothesis testing, the correlation significance value between caregiver's social support and self-confidence shows that the index value of rxy = 0.441 and Sig. Or p = 0.001 (p <0.05) with r2 of 0.1945. This shows that there is a significant positive relationship between caregiver social support and self-confidence. This means that the higher the caregiver's social support, the higher the self-confidence, conversely the lower the caregiver's social support, the lower the self-confidence. Thus, the hypothesis which states that there is a positive relationship between caregivers' social support and self-confidence can be accepted.
