Abstract :
Azzarah Salsabillah: The Effectiveness of Islamic Religious Education on Youth Mental Health in Peterongan Village, Jombang, Study Program of Islamic Education, Faculty of Islamic Religion, Darul 'Ulum University Jombang, 2022. This study aims to describe and analyze the effectiveness of Islamic religious education on the mental health of adolescents in the village of Peterongan, Jombang. This research is qualitative by taking the background of the village of PeteronganJombang. Data collection is done by conducting observations, interviews and documentaries. Data analysis was carried out using qualitative descriptive analysis techniques by giving meaning to the data that had been collected. The results of the study indicate that the effectiveness of Islamic religious education for adolescents in PeteronganJombang Village is very necessary for their mental health. Although there are many obstacles faced in implementing Islamic religious education on the mental health of these adolescents. The role of Islamic education in health is to be able to provide guidance in life, as a helper in adversity, to calm the mind, to be able to control morals and as a therapy for mental disorders. With the belief in worship, living close to God and being diligent in carrying out His commands, mental health can be fostered. Therefore, Islamic education must be carried out intensively in the household, school and community As the author's suggestion to overcome these obstacles, more attention is needed from the community, of course, parents to the development of children as well as motivation for teenagers to be more enthusiastic by having integrated abilities in their personalities (thoughts, feelings, and behavior) that work in a balanced and harmonious manner. activate religious activities in the village of PeteronganJombang.
