Abstract :
This study aims to determine the difference in student's reading interest between schools that implement the School Literacy Movement and schools that have not implemented the School Literacy Movement. This study involved 50 individual samples that were in the scope of elementary schools in grade 5 students. The data collection technique is carried out offline using the Purposive Sampling technique. Based on the results of the independent sample test analysis, a value of t = 9.703 was obtained with a sig of 2 taileds of = 0.000 ( p ? 0.005). This shows that there is a difference in student's reading interest between schools that implement the School Literacy Movement and schools that have not implemented the School Literacy Movement, as evidenced by x? A1 = 116.36 and x? A2 = 72.24 which means that the Reading Interest of students in schools that implement the School Literacy Movement is higher than that of students in schools that have not implemented the School Literacy Movement. So the hypothesis is accepted. Keywords: Student's Reading Interest, School Literacy Movement
