Abstract :
Concrete is the main material for construction which is widely used throughout the world. The development of concrete technology demands a better appearance of concrete, both in terms of the use of concrete mixtures and the addition of additives to the concrete mixture so that the strength of the concrete becomes stronger. This study aims to determine the compressive strength of concrete with wood sawdust added. The variation of mahogany powder added is 3%, 6%, and 9% of the cement weight. This study used phase 0.5 and testing of concrete at the age of 7 days, 14 days and 28 days. From the results of the research that has been done, it can be seen that in the 28 day old concrete, there is an increase in the compressive strength of the concrete in the 3% mahogany sawdust mixture by 0.61% or increases to 27.45 Mpa, and in the 6% mahogany sawdust concrete mix as well. there was an increase in compressive strength of 0.43% or increased to 26.72 Mpa against normal concrete. However, there was a decrease in the compressive strength of the 9% mahogany wood powder concrete mixture by 0.09%, decreasing to 24.61 Mpa. So the concrete compressive strength that increases in the mahogany powder concrete mix is 3% and 6% of the cement weight.
