Abstract :
Commercial activities on the Kusuma Bangsa road can generate increased traffic volume and affect the level of road service. In addition, the large number of street vendors who take land to peddle their wares makes traffic slow down at certain hours. This is a problem that requires a study on the effect of the growth of commercial activity on road performance. The study was conducted by collecting primary data such as data on traders along Jalan Kusuma Bangsa in 2022, road geometry, traffic volume and roadside barriers. While secondary data includes data on the number of traders in the previous 4 years, population data and GRDP of Jombang Regency. The data is used to analyze road performance using the 2014 Indonesian Road Capacity Guidelines (PKJI) method. The results of data analysis obtained from this study are an increase in the number of street vendors in 2020 by 222.5% from 80 in 2018 to 178. Currently Kusuma Bangsa road has a road capacity (C) for each segment with a value of 2269.50 skr/hour, the value of the degree of saturation (Dj) is 0.31 and the vehicle travel speed (VT) is 32km/hour. growth rate of 4% Jalan Kusuma Bangsa has a high category side barrier of 560.9 so that the degree of saturation (Dj) is 0.44,
