Abstract :
PMSG is coupled with a wind turbine to generate electricity. PMSG has very little efficiency to generate electrical power. These characteristics are affected by wind speed, pitch angle etc. Therefore wind turbine needs to be controlled to produce optimal electrical power. In this paper, the combination of ANFIS and PID is combined with artificial intelligence (ACO) to control the pitch angle. The combination of ANFIS, PID and ACO will be compared to control the pitch angle so that it produces optimal PMSG output power. The simulation result shows that the three tested models have been covered for the ANFIS-PID-ACO model while the best model is shown. The ANFIS-PID-ACO model is the best model with the highest maximum active power obtained at wind speed t1 = 3.7075 Watt, t2 = 2.188 Watt, t3 = 3.9199 Watt, t4 = 2.6086 Watt, t5 = 5.0338 Watt. The ANFIS-PID-ACO method is proven to be able to optimize energy better than the previous method, however this research will be developed using other methods to get the best optimization method.
