Abstract :
Amania, Rukhil. Counseling effectiveness rational emotive behavior to reduce toxic masculinity in the patriarchal culture of senior high school. Thesis, teaching faculty and education science guidance and conseling study program., Jombang Darul ?Ulum University. Mentor : (I). Dr. Bakhrudin All Habsy M.Pd and (II). Ely Roy Madoni, M.Pd.,Kons Keyword : Toxic Masculinity, Patriarchal Culture and Rational Emotive Behavior Counseling. Lots of crime in school environment or toxic masculinity behavior which is a reflection of a lack understanding and implementation of the purpose of instilling character from an early age. There are a lot of senior high school students there are case of bullying against frineds.at this step adolescent development, environmental factor have a huge influence. These toxic and bullying behavior become a culture today. Patriarchal culture closely related to toxic masculinity, patriarchal culture is a culture of gender inequality where there is male domination over women. The research plan used is Posttest Control Group Design with true experiment design method. Then analyzed by using t-test. Population in this study is DU 3 senior high school grade XII science/IPS as many 130 students. Counseling Rational Emotive Behavior is an approach that emphasizes patterns of change and individual belief patterns by adding aspects of behavior to the theoretical framework of an approach that can change students? irrational thinking patterns into rational ones. In this research, researcher used a questionnaire instrument a number of 46 questions tested for validity to 20 respondents. From the result of calculation reliability test it?s said reliable because the Cronbach alpha value is greater than the r table which is 0.789 > 0.245 Based on the results of the paired t-test where the significance value shows 0.000 (,0.05). therefore experiment group decreased between pretest and posttest that is 88.6 > 68.3. so there is decreases in group guidance service with modelling technique and also assertive training. If through pretest and posttest decreases toxic masculinity behavior can be reduced through group counseling using modelling and assertive training techniques.
