Abstract :
The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between self-control and consumptive behavior in early adults whose status is already working. This research uses quantitative method, sampling with purposive random sampling technique. The subjects of this study were early adults whose status had worked, totaling 60 people aged 20-30 years. The research instruments used in this study are self-control scale and consumptive behavior scale. The hypothesis proposed is that there is a relationship between self-control and consumptive behavior. The method used for data analysis is Karl Pearson's Product Moment correlation. The analysis results show a correlation coefficient of rxy = - 0.703 with Sig. 0,000 (p<0,05). The hypothesis in this study is accepted with a significant negative relationship between self-control and consumptive behavior.
