Abstract :
This research aims to determine the relationship between self-esteem and motivation
climbing mountains on mountain climbers in Jombang. Self-esteem as an opinion
individuals about their worth which is expressed in an attitude of acceptance or
rejection which shows the extent to which an individual believes that he is capable,
meaningful and valuable. The subjects in this research were mountain climbers with
The age range was 19-25 years in Jombang, totaling 120 respondents.
The data collection technique is carried out online using Google Form
using purposive random sampling technique. Based on the results of the analysis
Spearmans' Rho correlation test obtained a correlation value of r = -0.148 and with
significance value 0.000 (? <0.05). This shows that there is a correlation
significant negative relationship between self-esteem and mountain climbing motivation
Mountain climber in Jombang.
