Abstract :

abstracti nengah arta. "improving students’ speaking ability through ruckzuck game method".(a research conducted at eleventh grade students of sma negeri i wonosari).this research aimed to know whether or not ruckzuck game can improve significantly students’ speaking ability. in conducting my research, i used descriptive quantitative method, in which the design was one group pre-test-post-test design. technique of collecting the data is by giving oral test to the sample and their utterances were recorded. i used one class as the sample, in which the class was class ipa a. there were 24 students. the data of this research were analyzed by scoring the utterances of the sample to know their speaking ability. after that i conducted normality analysis to know if the is in normal distribution. after that i did the hypothesis verification. according to the result of my research, i found that there is the increase of students’ speaking ability after the treatment. in the pre-test, students’ speaking ability was 54,16%. after applying ruckzuck game as treatment, their speaking ability was improved into 69,3%. according to statistical analysis for hypothesis verification the data (ho) is received if t count > t table. i found that tcount is 3,16 while t table  is 2,0129. it means that 3,68 > 2,0129. so i concluded ruckzuck can significantly increase students’ speaking ability.keywords: ruckzuck game, students’ speaking ability
