Principle Supervisor: Rosma Kadir, S.Pd., M.A, and Co-Supervisor: Novi Rusnarty Usu, S.Pd. M.A This study was aimed to analyze and describe social stratification which were portrayed by the main characters of film "Upside-Down" according to the three components of social stratification which are introduced by Max Weber. The source of the data was the film "Upside-Down". The research was qualitative research. The data of this research was collected from the conversation between actors and actresses in the film to gather the utterances which related to the social stratification based on its components. There were five phases which have been used in collecting the data, they were film watching and transcription observing, utterances identification, creating a rough draft, sorting and creating an exact draft. Furthermore, the data have been analyzed by using content analysis. The result of this study concluded that in Upside - Down, there were utterances which portrays social stratification components. In this case, it has been found eleven utterances in ten dialogues. They are classified into: four data of property, two data of prestige, and four data of power.
