Abstrak Muhamad Firmansya Junus. 2018. " Studi Representasi Kemampuan Berpikir Visual-Spasial Mahasiswa dalam Memahami Konsep Molekul pada Perubahan Wujud Zat ".Suatu penelitian di Gorontalo. Skripsi, Jurusan Kimia, Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam Universitas Negeri Gorontalo. Pembimbing I Dr. Lukman A.R Laliyo, M.Pd dan Pembimbing II Wiwin Rewini Kunusa S.Pd, M.Si. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan representasi kemampuan berfikir visual-spasial mahasiswa dalam memahami konsep molekul pada perubahan wujud zat. Sampel penelitian ini sebanyak 159 mahasiswa jurusan kimia yang terbagi dalam 2 program studi yakni pendidikan kimia dan kimia. Instrument yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah; uji pengetahuan kimia (CK) dan tes kemampuan visual-spasial. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa berkemampuan visual-spasial tinggi memiliki kecenderungan memahami konsep molekul pada perubahan wujud zat lebih tinggi dibanding kelompok mahasiswa berkemampuan visual spasial sedang dan rendah, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara kemampuan berfikir visual-spasial mahasiswa dengan pemahaman konsep molekul pada perubahan wujud zat. Thesis, Chemistry Department, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, State University of Gorontalo. Advisor I Dr. Lukman A.R Laliyo, M.Pd and Supervisor II Wiwin Rewini Kunusa S.Pd, M.Si. The purpose of this study was to describe the representations of students' visual-spatial thinking in understanding concepts at the same time. The sample of this study amounted to 159 chemistry students divided into two courses namely Chemical and Chemical Education. Instrument used in this research is; chemical visual test (CK) and visual-spatial ability test. The results of this study indicate that students with high visual-spatial ability have concepts that are influenced by concepts that are higher than the group of students with moderate and low spatial visual abilities, can be used to identify the relationship between students' visual-spatial thinking ability and understanding of molecular concepts in the form of substances.
