Abstract :
Study estimated the wave energy relations and index violent crushing waves have been conducted in waters Palik Beach, Village Tebing Kandang, North Bengkulu This study aims to estimate how much energy the wave, knowing the type of violent crushing waves and to determine the relationship of wave energy and wave in the violent crushing index Palik Beach. The method used is direct field observation with the observed parameters of the violent crushing wave height, wave period and beach slope. Results reveal that the wave energy value averaging around 64.78 joules-161.76 joules, and the type of violent crushing waves at this beach is surging. Based on the analysis of the coefficient of determination (R) the average is 0.9407173 indicate that violent crushing wave energy and wave indices have a strong relationship. 2
