Siti Fakhriyah. A.1510453. Effects of Neem Leave Solution Concentration and
Various of Banana Corm Varieties on the Growth and Production of Chili Plant
(Capsicum annuum L.). Under immediate supervision of Oktavianus and Yanyan
Mulyaningsih.
This study was aimed at assessing the growth and production of chili plants
treated with different concentration of neem leaf solution and corm of different
varieties of banana. The study was conducted at Gapoktan Repeh Rapih Farm in
Sukamantri Village, Tamansari District, Bogor Regency, West Java from March
to July 2019. A factorial randomized block design with two factors consisting of
neem leaf solution concentration and types of banana corm was used. Neem leaf
concentration consisted of 0% (control, M0), 15% (15 ml neem leaf + 85 ml
water) (M1), 30% (30 ml neem leaf + 70 ml water) (M2), and 45% (45 ml neem
leaf + 55 ml water) (M3). Banana corm was obtained from 3 banana varieties
including ambon, kepok, and tanduk. Each corm was used to make 30% banana
corm solution (30 ml banana corm + 70 ml water). Results showed that
significant effects of corm of banana of different varities were found on stem
diameter, number of leaves, canopy width, and fruit length but not on number of
fruits, fruit weight, fruit diameter, and plant weight, Neem leaf solution of 45%
(M3) was found to give significant effects on the intensity of aphid blight.
