This study was aimed at assessing the growth and production responses of
edamame soybean plants to the application of various forms of fertilizers made of
Kipahit plant. A completely randomized design was used. Eleven levels of
fertilizer were used as treatments. They consisted of no fertilizer, 100% R
compost, 75% R compost + 25% R urea, 50% R compost + 50% R urea, 100% R
green fertilizer, 75% R green fertilizer + 25% R urea, 50% R green fertilizer +
50% R urea, 100% R POC, 75% R POC + 25% R urea, 50% R POC + 50% R
urea, and 100% R urea. Results showed that the application of Kipahit plant?based organic fertilizers resulted in plant height, number of leaves, leaf area,
number of empty pods, number of pods filled with 1 seed, total fresh weight, root
fresh weight, and fresh pod weight which were not different from those of plants
treated with 100% R urea.
Key words: urea, compost fertilizer, POC, green fertilizer, Glycine max (L.)
